this is my personal listening guide to stravinsky's rite of spring, originally conceived as just a youtube comment pointing out all of my favorite moments. below is the 'enhanced version' of it. you can click a timestamp to jump directly to that point in the video

some of the notes reference the plot or choreography of the actual ballet. though the rite is often performed as a concert work i also HIGHLY recommend watching a performance of the ballet with the original choreography!

i wrote this to be informal and relatively approachable, especially for my friends and people who are not classical music fans. though clicking will reveal more detailed notes which may be a little more 'academic' if you are into that
